Engine Diagnostics

Most modern vehicles today, contain an onboard computer known as an ECU which continually monitors the performance of the vehicle.

We use state-of-the-art equipment for vehicle diagnostics which can read the engine fault codes in your ECU’s memory. Our trained technicians can then suggest any necessary repairs to rectify the error and get you back on the road.

Gearbox Repairs

The cost of a clutch replacement varies depending on the nature of the problem and the model of car you’re driving.

Cambelt Repairs

Unlike other mechanical components of your vehicle, cambelts are prone to natural wear and tear over prolonged mileage and/or periods of time.

In the interests of safety and engine maintenance, it is vital that the cambelt of your car is replaced when necessary.

When a cambelt snaps, it can cause major damage to both the valves and pistons of the engine. It can also damage other expensive components of the vehicle, which may lead to an entire replacement in extreme circumstances.

Car Batteries

Tyres

Choosing the right tyre can be confusing, from choosing the right size, to selecting a tyre and brand that will be fit for purpose from the extensive range available.

Your tyres are the only point of contact your vehicle has with the road. Therefore, it’s vitally important that you select the right tyre type for the vehicle you are driving and for the purpose it is being used.

You should get into the habit of regularly checking your tyres for correct tyre pressure, tread wear and general condition; don’t forget to check the spare tyre, if you have one.

Brakes

Regular brake checks can identify a problem before it begins to impact on your braking efficiency, thus providing an opportunity to restore the effectiveness of your vehicle’s braking system to its intended performance.

If you are concerned about the performance of your brakes, or would like them checked before going on a long journey, our expert technicians are always happy to help.

Exhausts

To keep your vehicle in excellent condition, we would recommend having your emissions and exhaust system checked regularly for cracks, leaking joints, broken hangers, worn rubber mountings, corrosion, failed gaskets and high levels of pollutant gases.

If you hear any strange noises coming from your exhaust or have concerns about the condition of your exhaust system, the best advice is to come into our garage where our qualified specialists will be able to help diagnose the fault and suggest an appropriate solution.

Air Conditioning

Many drivers experience the benefits of air conditioning in their car or van on a hot day but just like other parts of your car, the air conditioning system also needs regular attention to ensure it continues to work efficiently and effectively.

Vehicle air conditioning systems can lose refrigerant gas over time, especially if they aren’t used regularly; meaning that they may not work as well as they should. Manufacturers recommend your air con system is recharged with gas and lubricant every 2 years.

This service is not part of routine vehicle servicing, so if your vehicle is more than 2 years old it’s probably due an air con recharge.
